After five years in the health insurance industry, Ben Wood founded B. Wood Insurance in April of 2007. A few months later, his brother Bryan joined B. Wood Insurance and together they laid the foundation for a company based on simple principles. Their main objective was to have an insurance brokerage that was focused on servicing clients that could compete with the best in the business.
When they began operating in 2007, their primary focus was on providing insurance to individuals, families, and small businesses in San Diego. As their business grew, they were able to bring in talented staff that allowed them to work with larger companies and expand outside of San Diego into Northern California, Nevada and Arizona. B. Wood Insurance now represents companies with over a thousand employees and has built a great reputation of being a trustworthy, professional business that competes with the bigger brokerages.
The vision Ben and Bryan had of designing a company to service clients more than the competition has paid off. B. Wood Insurance now represent hundreds of businesses with their health and welfare benefits. In addition to being a trusted source for group plans, B. Wood Insurance also is considered an industry expert in long term care, life insurance, disability income, and other lines of business insurance.
